Student Authors

Children’s author, Stephan Kozan, returned to MASD with his Ready, Aim, Write program to find the next Raider authors. Previously, Mr. Kozan worked with young writers at Fink to get their stories turned into children’s novels. This year, students from Reid and Kunkel were selected.

During a writing workshop, students began developing their story ideas. Mr. Kozan selected several stories from each school and worked individually with those students to develop their story further. After the second round of story development, three stories were selected to turn into published books. Congratulations to Violet, Natalie and Hannah for becoming published authors!
