HOW TO DONATE
Childhood hunger is a serious issue across America. There are nearly 13 million children, about one in six, that may not get the food they need every day. Hunger has many negative effects on children's health, behavior, and ability to learn. Our RaiderPacks program is one way that we as a community can work together to ensure that our students don't go hungry over weekends and long breaks from school.
The Middletown Area School District partners with the Blue Raider Foundation, the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank, MidWest Food Bank, and Cocoa Packs to provide families in need with bags of food each week. The RaiderPacks contain breakfast, lunch, and snack options which include fruits and vegetables.
In order to make this program a success, we need your help. RaiderPacks and Cocoa Packs depend on donations. Every monetary donation will make a difference for students and families by providing consistent and reliable access to food.
Please help fight local childhood hunger by supporting backpack programs like RaiderPacks and Cocoa Packs. Cocoa Packs has generously donated packed bags and produce to our program. Donations to Cocoa Packs can be made at https://cocoapacks.org/support/. To donate directly to RaiderPacks, please make checks payable to the Middletown Area Blue Raider Foundation and note “RaiderPacks” in the memo section. Each and every contribution is tax deductible and greatly appreciated. Contributions can be mailed to Middletown Area Blue Raider Foundation at 55 West Water Street, Middletown, PA 17057.
When children get the food they need, they feel better and grow up stronger. No child should ever have to worry about where their next meal will come from or go to bed hungry. Together we can help end childhood hunger in Middletown!
Sincerely,
The RaiderPacks Committee
