The Middletown Area School District is committed to providing a safe and secure environment for all individuals involved in any District event or operation. 

Threat Reporting Process
If a parent/student/staff member has knowledge of any kind of potential threat to students/staff/district, the Middletown Area School District has a highly effective threat assessment process and team in place. The Threat Assessment Team consists of psychologists, counselors, principals, social workers or other staff members as necessary.

If you believe you may have information about a threat, please report it to the school immediately. You may do so by calling the office, speaking with a teacher, contacting a counselor or administration, or by submitting a Safe2Say report. Emails and voicemails are not recommended as it can be some time before an email is seen depending on the circumstances. Calling or stopping in and talking to a live person is highly recommended. The district will then consult members of the Threat Assessment Team, investigate, determine if a threat exists, and swiftly take action to intervene.

To ensure a continued high level of safety and security the District has a Safety & Security Committee that meets regularly to address safety and security concerns reported by District employees, students, and parents.

Individuals with safety and security concerns should submit their concern in writing to the Safety Committee. All concerns received in writing will be reviewed no later than the first Friday of each month. Emergency concerns will be addressed upon receipt. Submissions must state why the issue raised is a safety concern.
