Cleland Hits 1000th Career Point
Congratulations to senior Emma Cleland, who scored her 1000th career point on Saturday, February 7. The milestone came as part of the Lady Raiders’ win over Boiling Springs, which capped a 22-0 perfect, undefeated season.

Cleland plans to continue her basketball career next year at Bloomsburg University, but first, there is plenty more high school basketball to be played. The Lady Raiders will play Central Dauphin in the first round of Mid Penn playoffs Tuesday, February 10, at Mechanicsburg Area Senior High School. Game time is 5:30 p.m.

Koser Becomes Girls Basketball All-Time Leading Scorer
It was a historic night at Middletown Area High School on Tuesday, January 20, as senior Jayla Koser surpassed Kate Fitzpatrick (Class of 2020) to become the school's all-time leading scorer in girls basketball. Fitzpatrick, who set the previous record of 1,614 points, was at the game to congratulate Koser.

Koser, who plans to continue her basketball career next year at Mount St. Mary's University, made the record-breaking shot with seven minutes remaining in the game, which was also Senior Night. While Koser’s name will go down in the MAHS record books, the accomplishment was truly a team effort. The Lady Raiders concluded the memorable evening with a 53-21 victory over Gettysburg, remaining undefeated in regular-season play.

Congratulations to the entire team, and best of luck with the rest of the season!

PIAA Physicals

Any student participating in PIAA sports for Middletown Area School District (MASD) is required to complete a PIAA Comprehensive Initial Pre-Participation Physical Evaluation (CIPPE). The CIPPE form, sections 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 must be completed and signed by the parent or guardian before the medical provider will examine the student and fill out section 6.

No student will be allowed to participate in athletics during the PIAA season without the entire 6-page CIPPE packet completed. In accordance with the PIAA, physicals cannot be dated by a medical provider earlier than May 1, 2025 and will be effective for the entire school year, until April 30, 2026.

Sections 7 and 8 of the PIAA form are for subsequent sport(s) in the same school year. ANY ATHLETE having a CIPPE exam more than 6 weeks prior to the start of their sports season, should complete the Section 7 form, regardless of whether they played a sport in the previous season. In accordance with the PIAA, the medical staff at MASD will require any athletes with a significant change in their medical history since the time of their initial exam, to have their physician complete the CIPPE Section 8 recertification form. Please read the form CAREFULLY.

PIAA and MASD participation packets can be found under the "Athletic Information" section or in the high school office.
