Free PIAA Sports Physicals

Middletown Area School District is hosting two free PIAA sports physical dates for students entering grades 7-12 who will be participating in a fall, winter, or spring PIAA sport through MASD during the 2026-2027 school year. Students must bring the completed PIAA packet, sections 1-6, signed by a parent/guardian, to get the free exam.

PIAA Athletic Participation Packet

PIAA physicals are good for the entire school year. Sports physicals will not be offered again during the year, so if your student is considering playing any sport during the 2026-27 school year, they should attend this free event.

All sports physicals for the 2026-27 school year must be signed by the medical provider and dated after May 1, 2026, and will be effective until April 30, 2027, in accordance with the PIAA.

Athletes choosing not to attend the free summer PIAA physicals will be responsible for getting a PIAA physical through their own provider.

Physicals are for PIAA sports at MASD only. Copies will not be given for outside organizations, driver's licenses, work permits, or any other alternate purposes.

Koser Becomes Girls Basketball All-Time Leading Scorer
It was a historic night at Middletown Area High School on Tuesday, January 20, as senior Jayla Koser surpassed Kate Fitzpatrick (Class of 2020) to become the school's all-time leading scorer in girls basketball. Fitzpatrick, who set the previous record of 1,614 points, was at the game to congratulate Koser.

Koser, who plans to continue her basketball career next year at Mount St. Mary's University, made the record-breaking shot with seven minutes remaining in the game, which was also Senior Night. While Koser’s name will go down in the MAHS record books, the accomplishment was truly a team effort. The Lady Raiders concluded the memorable evening with a 53-21 victory over Gettysburg, remaining undefeated in regular-season play.

Congratulations to the entire team, and best of luck with the rest of the season!
