Student Financial Literacy

Volunteers Needed for Financial Literacy Event
Posted on 02/03/2025

Junior Achievement (JA) of South Central PA will be at MAHS on March 18 with their REAL Life Program for high school juniors. Volunteers are needed to assist with activities intended to help students gain an appreciation for the importance of owning their own economic success.

The REAL Life day is intended to help students gain an appreciation of the importance that financial decisions will play in their lives as young adults. Volunteers will facilitate one of the REAL Life stations for the day, and students will rotate through the station.

Volunteers do not have to be an approved school volunteer to help with the day. Junior Achievement will provide online training as well as on-site support to all volunteers. A light breakfast and lunch will also be provided for volunteers.

Please consider volunteering and join us as we spend the day empowering and inspiring MAHS students! For more information and to sign up to volunteer see the flyers below, visit the Junior Achievement of South Central PA website, or contact Shannon Baker, Senior Vice President Program Operations, at [email protected].

MASD’s collaboration with Junior Achievement is part of the District’s mission and vision for all students to be life and career ready and graduate equipped with the knowledge and skills that will enable them to thrive in a rapidly changing world.
