The Rothrock Foundation hosted the 6th Annual Bill Darrah Memorial Golf Tournament this summer and raised $11,500 for the Middletown Area High School Arts and Communications Department. The funds will be used to purchase needed equipment and supplies for classes such as art, photography, industrial technology, and industrial arts.
The annual golf tournament is held in honor of Bill Darrah, an avid photographer who supported Blue Raider Athletics. Darrah was often spotted on the sidelines of fields, tracks, and courts, capturing the action of Raider sporting events. Darrah would volunteer his time and share his photos free of charge with athletes, families, and the yearbook committee.
Throughout its five-year history, the golf tournament has raised more than $60,000 for MASD. The District generously thanks the Rothrock Foundation for hosting this annual event and supporting and investing in the future of our communications and arts students.
