Kindergarten Parent Orientation is a special night for parents and caregivers who have started the kindergarten registration process for the upcoming school year.
The event will take place on Tuesday, April 28, from 6 - 7 p.m. at Reid Elementary School, 201 Oberlin Road, Middletown. Families will learn about Middletown Area Primary School (MAPS), meet principals, teachers, and staff, and get helpful tips to prepare children for school.
Kindergarten Parent Orientation is designed just for parents and guardians as a way to begin the school-family partnership. A kindergarten student ‘sneak peek’ event will be held closer to the start of school.
There is still time to register your child for kindergarten for the 2026-27 school year. To enroll in kindergarten, children must be five years old on or before September 1, 2026. Kindergarten registration information and instructions can be found on the

The 2026-27 school year will be especially exciting for our kindergarteners, as they will be the first group to attend Middletown Area Primary School (MAPS). This school will serve grades K-3 and will feature state-of-the-art classrooms and innovative learning spaces.
