New Year Will See the Opening of Middletown Area Primary School
2026 will see the opening of Middletown Area Primary School (MAPS), which will house grades K-3 and offer state-of-the-art classrooms and innovative spaces for learning and engagement. Brick is on the building’s exterior, a portion of windows has been installed, and crews are working on drywall, ductwork, and painting.
As part of the overall construction project, Reid Elementary will be converted to a grade 4 and 5 building.
MAPS will be located at the rear of the current campus, behind Middletown Area Middle School (MAMS); the District administration building will be annexed as part of MAPS.
The District operations and maintenance building will also be located on the complex. Construction of the operations facility is complete, and the staff is now in the new building.
