MASD Announces Hiring of New Athletic Director
MASD is pleased to announce that Mr. Tré Leach has been appointed as the new Athletic Director for the Middletown Area School District. He was officially approved by the School Board at the May 22 meeting and began his new role on June 9. Mr. Leach succeeds Mr. Scott Govern, who resigned to pursue another professional opportunity.
Mr. Leach brings with him a strong athletic knowledge, exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, and valuable experience in event and team management. As a former standout student athlete at Middletown and the collegiate level, he has a unique understanding of the needs of our student-athletes, the coaching staff, and our families. Most recently, he served as a business teacher at Middletown Area Middle School while also coaching junior varsity and assisting with varsity basketball and football.
When you speak with Mr. Leach, you will immediately pick up on his pride and passion for the athletic department and MASD athletics. In just a few short weeks on the job, he has already transformed the District’s athletic social media presence.
Mr. Leach is very eager to start working with our students, staff, and school community members. We look forward to the energy and youthful leadership he will bring as he helps take our athletic programs and the student athletes they support to the next level.
