The District would like to inform you of important changes for the upcoming 2026â27 school year. With the opening of Middletown Area Primary School (MAPS) for grades Kâ3 and the reconfiguration of Reid Elementary School to a grade 4â5 building, the District will adjust school start and end times. These changes are required to ensure all buses and parent pick-up traffic exit the campus by 4:00 p.m. each day in compliance with state traffic guidance. This requirement is directly tied to the safe and efficient operation of our campus.
The new school day schedule is as follows:
MAHS
7:35 a.m. - 2:15 p.m.
MAMS
8:05 a.m. - 2:45 p.m.
Reid
8:35 a.m. - 3:15 p.m.
MAPS
9:05 a.m. - 3:45 p.m.
Additional information will be posted on the District website.
Another change for the 2026â27 school year involves the use of snow days and virtual learning days (also known as Flexible Instructional Days or FID). The District will eliminate virtual learning days and return to traditional snow days. This change reflects a commitment to reducing screen time and ensuring instruction remains meaningful and at the level students deserve. If the District exceeds the allotted snow make-up days, additional days will be added to the end of the school year as needed. The District will retain up to five FIDs for extreme circumstances only.
