Gymnasts Qualify for the 2021 Development Program National Championship
Members of 2021 Pennsylvania Super Team Champions Medal at Regionals

Harleysville, PA, April 9, 2021 - Mason Lupp (Middletown), Alexander Petula (Hummelstown), and Drake Risser (Hummelstown) competed against over 50 level 9 athletes at the 2021 Region 7 National Qualifier in the 13-14 year old division. Region 7 comprises Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and West Virginia. The athletes are members of the Artistic Sports Academy Plus (ASAP) men’s gymnastics team in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, which was recently recognized as the 2021 Pennsylvania Super Team Champions. ASAP offers artistic sports in a fun, safe, and clean environment with highly-trained staff.

Men’s gymnastics competes in six events: floor, pommel horse, rings, vault, parallel bars, and horizontal bar. Mason Lupp won gold on the floor and Alexander Petula won gold on the parallel bars. Drake Risser won the 4th place medal on the still rings. Mason also won the silver medal in the all-around competition.

The team qualified to complete at the USA Gymnastics 2021 Development Program National Championship in Daytona Beach, Florida on May 11-16, 2021.
