2019 Prosthetic Finger

CBS21 at MAHS

On November 15, 2019, CBS21 News aired a story about an incredible project completed in Middletown Area High School's Tech Ed class. Mr. Seth Decker challenged his students to research, design, and build a functional object using the class's 3D printer. Two students, Ellis Roy (grade 9) and Owen Wealand (grade 10) decided to make a prosthetic finger for Ellis who lost 2 of his fingers when he was three years old. They succeeded in making a functioning finger and are still working on building accessories for it such as a fork attachment. The boys did an impressive job! You can view the CBS story HERE.
