Each MAHS student must choose a Career Pathway which focuses their elective courses toward preparing for a specific goal area. A Pathway is a broad grouping of careers that share similar characteristics and whose employment requirements call for many common interests, strengths and competencies. The five Career Pathways are: Arts & Communications; Business, Finance and Information Technology; Engineering and Industrial Technology; Human Services; and Science & Health. Throughout the 2019-2020 school year, each of the five Pathways will be featured on the MASD website.

The Arts and Communications Pathway is designed to cultivate students’ awareness, interpretation, application and production of visual,
verbal and written work. Students are provided experiences in Performing Arts (PA), Visual Arts (VA), and Publishing Arts (PU).
