| Welcome to the Robert G Reid Elementary School. Home of the Blue Raiders! Mayor Reid has devoted his life to community service. He served on Borough Council for ten years from January of 1968 through January of 1978 and Mayor of Middletown for approximately 16 years from 1978 through 1994 before resigning. He then devoted approximately 10 years to Dauphin County as court administrator. After retiring a second time, he returned to his first two careers—Mayor of the Borough of Middletown and a substitute teacher for the Middletown Area School District. He has served the students of this district as a teacher for more than four decades and represented the interests of this community for almost 3 decades. Along the way, there were many notable accomplishments:
In October of 2002, the Board of School Directors voted to name the new elementary school in his honor. We are all better for the fact that he chose to make Middletown his home. 201 Oberlin Road [get directions] Middletown, Pennsylvania 17057 Voice: (717) 948-3360 Fax: (717) 702-1294
