| Welcome to the Middletown Area Middle School. Home of the Blue Raiders! Communication is so important and is always the key to a solid home/school relationship. Without good communication, you child’s progress could suffer. Communication is a two way process. Many important items are sent home with your child throughout the year. Please emphasize that they bring materials home to you. The taxpayers of Middletown can not afford for us to mail everything to you. We encourage you to work with your child. Help them get organized with textbooks, materials, and assignments. Show interest in what they are doing in school and positive results should follow. Take some time to review the Assignment Handbook with your child. Familiarize yourself with our policies and procedures. Our policies have been devised for the welfare and safety of all of our students. Our school day begins at 7:40 a.m. Students should be at school by 7:30 a.m. The school day ends at 2:40 p.m. If your child is absent from school, you are requested to call the school by 8:30 a.m. to inform us of the reason for the absence. We ask also that you sign a written excuse to be submitted to the middle school upon your child’s return from an absence. We ask that parents please not schedule student appointments during these dates. Throughout the school year you are encouraged to call if you have any questions, difficulties, or problems of any sort. We will do our very best to find the answers to your questions. If you need to meet with your child’s teacher(s), our guidance office can arrange a time convenient for everyone involved. We are here to provide an educational service to you. Lean on us.
