REPORT CARDS
Report cards are given to the students through their homeroom teachers at the end of each marking period (approximately 9 weeks). Parents are instructed to view the report card and contact your child’s teacher and/or guidance counselor with any questions.
Promotion requirements are based on the amount of credits passed during the academic year. The required average for passing is 70%. A student must attain a passing average during the second semester in order to be promoted in that course (if it is a sequential one-a full year’s course). This rule applies regardless of the grade a student may have earned the first semester.
ANY STUDENT TAMPERING WITH REPORT CARDS OR MANUFACTURING BOGUS REPORT CARDS WILL BE SUBJECT TO SUSPENSION.
PROGRESS REPORTS
Teachers will provide a progress report for each student in danger of failing a course for the marking period. These reports will be issued about five weeks in the marking period. Teachers will provide information relevant to the student’s difficulty with that course. Progress report copies will also be kept by the teacher and guidance department. Parents and students are encouraged to speak with the teacher concerning the progress report. Teachers will usually encourage students to have parents sign copies of the progress report and return the copy to school.
