2014-15 Kindergarten Registration

It’s time to get your little one registered for school! What an exciting time in the journey of every five year old. We trust that our Kindergarten Registration process will be helpful in acclimating you and your child for their big debut at a MASD Elementary School. For an overview of the registration process, please read this Letter to Parents from MASD Superintendent, Dr. Lori A. Suski.

Kindergarten Parent Orientation Night - February 25, 2014 @ 6-7 p.m.

Who should attend? Parents of ALL incoming Kindergartners should be present, but your little ones should remain at home.
What will be covered? Parents will be given instructions for the registration process as well as an overview of their Kindergartner’s first year of school.
Location? Reid Elementary Cafeteria. Orientation is held at Reid for parents of ALL incoming Kindergartners regardless of which school they will be attending.

Registration Process

When you are ready to register your child, please use this Information Sheet to guide you through the process then follow the steps below. You must complete all steps to ensure that your child is successfully registered with the school district.

1. Register your child

  • Complete the Online Registration Form - Click here to begin
    • Note: You will need a valid email address or phone number to create a parent account.

2. Schedule an Appointment

  • Schedule an appointment – Click here to schedule your appointment.
    • Appointments will last approximately 10 minutes.
    • The appointment will consist of the following:
      • Verification of residency
      • Photocopy required documents
      • Vision and Hearing Screening

Appointment Dates and Locations are as follows:

  • March 3-5 | Fink Elementary School
  • March 10-12 | Kunkel Elementary School

Please note, the location of the appointment does not indicate the school your child will attend. We are offering multiple locations as a convenience for our parents.

3. Gather your documents for your appointment

Acceptable Proofs of Residency

Proof of Residency:

  • ONE (1) of the proofs must be one (1) of the following:
    • A copy of the Deed
    • Agreement of Sale
    • Lease containing your name and verified by building superintendent
    • Real estate tax bill or paid real estate tax receipt
  • TWO (2) other proofs can be any of the following:
    • Valid PA Department of Transportation license or identification with current district address
    • W-2 statement/IRS statement or tax return
    • Auto/Homeowner’s/Tenant’s Insurance statement
    • Copy of State/Federal Program Enrollment
    • Voter registration card noting township or borough
    • Current utility bill (gas, electric, water, sewer)
