Communities That Care is a nationally accepted approach to assist communities in developing action plans, offering research based programs for youth and engaging the community in promoting healthy youth behaviors.
CTC’s mission is to promote the healthy development of the children of the Middletown Area School District and to prevent juvenile delinquency, truancy, school dropouts, substance abuse, and undesirable actions and attitudes that may be harmful to youth.
Communities That Care meetings are held monthly. If you are interested in being a part of the CTC Board please contact the CTC Office at 948-3318. All community members are welcome.
CLUB OPHELIA IS BACK FOR THE 2010/2011 SCHOOL YEAR.
All girls at MAMS are invited to participate in this CTC sponsored after school program. Club Ophelia is a program which encourages girls to develop more positive relationships with other girls. In these clubs, girls will learn how to identify relational aggression (bullying), stand up against it, and work to eliminate it.
Two clubs will be offered at the Middle School: Club Ophelia Performing Arts and Club Ophelia Arts and Crafts. Both of these programs will be offered on Tuesdays from 3:00 -4:30 beginning October 19th. Transportation will be provided.
