December 20, 2011 in News by John Brougher

Mobile DentistThe Mobile Dentist Smile Program visited Fink, Kunkel and Reid Elementary Schools the week of December 12, 2011. This is the fourth year students of the district have had the opportunity to participate. Children receive an exam, cleaning, x-rays and sealants (if age appropriate).

For children with Medicaid/CHIP or private insurance the services are 100% covered. If families have no dental insurance and are not able to pay for services they can receive services without charge by filling out a simple grant application form. Information and permission forms were distributed earlier this year.

Tooth decay is the most common chronic and infectious disease among children. In addition, kids with oral disease can suffer pain and difficulty eating. The program has been serving schools for over 14 years. The dentists are all licensed. For more information on the program visit www.mobiledentists.com
