AIDEN M. SESSA, Valedictorian

Aiden Sessa is the son of Matthew & Jodi Sessa. Aiden earned Distinguished Honor Roll throughout high school and received recognition as an AP Scholar with Distinction. Aiden was also the October Student of the Month. Aiden has been an active leader throughout his years at MAMS and MAHS including the role of Senior Class President. Aiden is also a member of the National Honor Society, Student Council, and Link Crew. Additionally, he participated in Future Business Leaders of America and placed first in Parliamentary Procedure and first in Introduction to Information Technology. Aiden was a member of the varsity soccer team as well as the track and field team. He was one of the high school seniors selected to be on the Homecoming Court, and he was a contestant in the Mini-THON Mr. Middletown Man Pageant. Outside of school, Aiden works at Giant as a cashier.

After graduation, Aiden plans to attend the University of Pennsylvania to major in Business Analytics.

AAYUSHI PATEL, Salutatorian

Aayushi Patel is the daughter of Piyushkumar & Dimpleben Patel. Aayushi has earned Distinguished Honor Roll throughout her high school career while simultaneously being involved with a multitude of activities and earning additional honors and awards. Aayushi is a member of both the National Honor Society and the National Society of High School Scholars. She has earned recognition in the high school for being an AP Scholar with Distinction and was the October Student of the Month. Aayushi is a member of Youth and Government where she served as a Delegation Leader and was the 2018-2019 Blue Senate Liaison. She was also an Inspire U.S. Civic Engagement Ambassador which earned her the Civic Engagement Award. Additionally, Aayushi participated in the American Legion Essay Contest. She played tennis all four years of high school and became team captain of the girls’ team.

Throughout her high school career, Aayushi has had an impressive involvement with scientific competitions. She placed third in Cell Biology in the Science Olympiad. Aayushi also completed the Penn State PULSE Program and was awarded PULSE Honors and PULSE Stars for both of her years of participation. Aayushi has participated in both the EPI Challenge and Bio GENEius State Fair and earned the BioGENEius Award. Moreover, she competed in the Capital Area Science and Engineering Fair where she collected a plethora of achievements: two first place awards in Medicine/Health; one second place award in Medicine/Health; one first place award in Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics; the Dr. George Hayward Love Sr. Judges’ Award; and qualifying as a 2018-2019 Grand Champion Finalist. Some additional honors Aayushi has received include the Mu Alpha Theta Award, Thomas M. McAuliffe Award, and an invitation to the Wolfram Research Institute Summer Camp.

After graduation, Aayushi will attend Schreyer Honors College at Pennsylvania State University to major in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. She then plans to attend medical school to pursue a career in medicine.
