Aayushi Patel

Aayushi Patel, Class of 2019, captured a first place award in the mathematics division at the Capital Area Science & Engineering Fair with her project “Detecting Genotypic Drivers.” Her project also earned her a place in the elite group of Grand Champion Finalists which is the top 8 projects out of the 363 submissions. But Aayushi’s awards didn’t stop there.

Patel also received a 6-year participant award, the BioGenius Award, and an invitation to the Wolfram Research Institute Summer Camp. In addition, she was the recipient of the Mu Alpha Theta Mathematics Award for the most creative, challenging, thorough, and original investigation of a project involving mathematics. Congratulations to Aayushi Patel for these tremendous achievements in the study of Science and Math. We expect to hear more about Aayushi in the future!
