Day 100 @ Reid

Reid 100 Days BANN

The students at Reid celebrated the 100th day of school with a variety of fun, creative activities. Mrs. Jensen’s 2nd grade dressed as 100 year olds complete with gray hair, canes and aching backs. Mrs. Klase’s Kindergartners made hats displaying “100!” and created projects displaying 100 objects like skittles, pennies, cheerios and even a t-shirt covered with 100 legos!

Mrs. Molnar’s Kindergartner’s made pictures of themselves as 100 year olds using patterned paper and practiced their writing skills by completing the following sentence:

“When I am 100 years old I will…have short hair and white hair and will have a house.”
“When I am 100 years old I will…be a zombie.”
“When I am 100 years old I will…still play with legos.”

The first graders made glasses from the number 100 and measured objects in the classroom using a 100 cm string. And the story “One Hundred Hungry Ants” was a big hit with Mrs. Pronesti’s students! 100 down…only 80 to go!
