Grading Information

Student grading information is maintained in the District’s Student Information System, PowerSchool, and is available for parents and students via the PowerSchool Parent Portal. Parents are encouraged to create an account so that they can monitor their student’s academic progress throughout the year. Parents will also receive a hard copy of mid-quarter progress reports and a quarterly report cards. The quarterly report card is a snapshot of the students current year academic achievement as of the end of that marking period. Report cards and progress reports also contain teacher comments to help give our parents a more detailed observation of the student progress that may not be as obvious from the grades alone.

HIGH SCHOOL WEIGHTED GRADES
Advanced Placement courses receive a weight factor of 1.10. Honors courses receive a weight factor of 1.05. This factor is used to calculate cumulative GPA and class rank.

ANY STUDENT TAMPERING WITH REPORT CARDS OR MANUFACTURING BOGUS REPORT CARDS WILL BE SUBJECT TO SUSPENSION.
